Jared played High School baseball at nationally respected Boyertown Area High School and upon high school graduation, Jared attended the NCAA Division I University of Rhode Island. During Jared’s breakout Junior season at URI he led the team in batting avg. (.400), and also finished the season among the top 10 Division I pitchers in the Nation in strikeouts per 9 innings, averaging over 10 strikeouts per 9 innings. Although he spent most of his high school and college years splitting time as an outfielder & pitcher, he was drafted after his Junior year at URI as a pitcher in the 28th Round of the 2003 MLB Draft by the Oakland Athletics. Jared has been instructing baseball and softball for over 13 years and has been a certified personal trainer for 4 years.
